Starting with the demolition of THREE houses over a two week period, this project put the fun back into building! Once the site was cleared, the CBG team began constructing the latest and greatest in children’s playgrounds, almost spanning the entire area of where the houses used to be.
The first stage was to pour approximately 400sqm of ramped concrete footpaths. The rest included the fun stuff. Preparation of land for installation of veggie planter boxes, laying a rubber rock mound with two massive 5m tunnels running from one side to the other, fitting two natural stone staircases leading from one play area to the next, and last but not least, constructing the impressive 200sqm (approx.) semi-circular tiered concrete amphitheatre.
A BBQ area and bike parking shelter were also constructed, and a massive renovation was conducted to get the old garden/maintenance shed up to scratch.
Landscaping was included in this contract as well and comprised the construction of 4 large brick planter boxes framed with timber bench seating, an open common grass area, off site prefabrication of feature concrete block seating, and a 13 week maintenance schedule.
What a transformation!!!!
